New concept of the newsletter : the "TOP 5 Sub"
Morning everyone! I hope you are all doing very well, here we are, September, holidays are gone and we are going for another year, let’s go! And first thing, subscribe to get all the new posts directly in your inbox !
As there wasn’t really BIG news this week, I didn’t feel like to develop something in a full post, but if you didn’t read the last you can doing so by clicking here.
I don’t have any frequency in mind for this concept, it will come when I feel like it depending on what I do with the Ro’Macro. Basically I will select 5 things, podcasts/people/newsletter/youtube channel/etc. to follow, I won’t keep all my great resources for myself don’t worry! Let’s get to it.
We start this week with the newsletters!
1) The Macro Compass from Alfonso Peccatiello
Alfonso is Head of Portfolio Management at ING and writes a great newsletter about macro, he’s quite an expert on Central Bank policy, money creation, there’s already 15 articles on his substack and you can learn a lot from it.
2) Chinese Caracteristics - Lillian Li
Lillian is writing a newsletter specialized on China, her posts are very insightful and if you want to understand better the country as it’s working in its special way, Lillian’s newsletter is a great way to do it!
3) The Macro Code - Matteo Gallone
Matteo is an analyst ECM analyst and a young graduate like me, he just started his newsletter a few weeks ago, just take look at his first posts you will understand the quality of his work.
4) Economics without jargon - Paul Donovan
Paul is the CIO of UBS Global Wealth Management, every day he’s doing a quick podcast of 3 to 5 minutes where you have a clear overview of the news with his analysis on the matter. He’s also a very nice person who will reply if you have a question and take time to explain, worth noticing because it’s quite rare, specially regarding the importance of his job.
5) Five things your should know to start your day - Bloomberg
This one is quite famous but very useful and easy to read. Every morning Bloomberg send you 5 pieces of important news of the day, really nice to start the day and getting up to speed!
This one was quick but I hope you’ll find it valuable, please let me know if you have ideas of other Top5 I could do. In the meantime, we’ll see each other tomorrow for the weekly selection and next week for a new Ro’Macro !
